How does Navegg work? How can I join?
Join our network, by signing-up. Then place the Javascript code snippet on your pages. The system will then start collecting the behavior of your visitors.
After a couple of days, you can login your account and see demographic reports. You will be able to find how many men/women visit your site, how many of them are sports interested people and so on. Check out this example.
Aditionally you can use our API to interact with your visitors. Using a JavaScript code you can costumize your content and even integrate demographic data with 3rd party analytics like Google Analytics.
Why do I need an invitation?
Navegg is currently on a private beta. We are still fine tuning some features and getting feedback from invited users before moving forward. We will gradually invite more partners so apply for an invitation now. It's free!
How much does it cost? Will you charge in the future?
Navegg is and will always be an open and free network. Any site that complies with our TOS can join and use our API free of charge. Our commitment: Born free, always free.
Will Navegg display any image or advertisement on my site?
No. Navegg's code will not show anything on your page.
Will Navegg's code impact on website's performance?
No. Our JavaScript code snippet is very small, less than 1 kbyte. Additionally, our servers are optimized to provide the highest processing speed to our partner sites.
What's the difference between Navegg and other web-analytics tools, like Google Analytics.
Navegg is not a traditional web-analytics tool. For instance, we don't offer pageview reports. Our goal is to determine navigation profiles from our partner site visitors. Instead of measuring pageviews, we measure people, and determine their demographics - gender, age, education and so on. Additionally, we release that data so that you can interact with your visitors real-time using our API.
How do you determine visitors profile?
Using multivariate statistic analysis of collected data. Navegg colects user behavior through our partner sites and analyzes them to determine gender, age amongst other demographic and topics of interest. We don't use research, online/offline interviews or panels, to generate or complete our data.
I signed up, now what? How long does it take to see data on my reports?
The system starts collecting data as soon as the code is implemented on the page. It'll start profiling your visitors. You should see data on your account after 48h. Depending on your site's traffic you should see an equivalent amount of undetermined profiles. We will continue to profile your visitors so that you will get ever-better and up-to-date statistics.
So far Navegg's API has returned little or no information about my audience. What happened?
To determine an individual profile, Navegg needs a minimum of user activity on the network. Users who access a site for the first time won't have a known profile. The amount and completeness of user profiles increases along with the number of partner sites and user activity on them.
What about privacy? Are you spying on my visitors?
This is a major concern for us. We not only care about internet privacy - we strongly defend it. Every data analyzed is anonymous and no Personal Identifiable Information is in any way collected or distributed. We also don't store or syndicate navigation history of any individual profile - all information is compiled and processed in a summarized way.
Can I prevent you from collecting data about me?
Yes, if you would prefer you can voluntarely opt-out our network.
