Navegg Privacy Policy
Your privacy is very important to us.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose your information through our recommendation, personalization and advertising retargeting services ("Services") and through our corporate website located at www.navegg.com. To opt out of our behavioral advertising product, click here.
Except as explicitly set forth herein, Navegg S.A ("Navegg", "We", "Us" OR "Our") does not collect your Personal Information through our Services. Furthermore, none of the Non-Personally Identifiable Information we do collect, individually or grouped together, can be traced back to you.
Information Collection and Use
Non-Personally Identifiable Information ("NPII") is data collected by us in order to allow us to provide the Services to you and to our customers that have entered into an agreement with us to provide Services ("Customers"). The NPII is collected from your browser or directly from our Customers and includes non-personally identifiable information such as your IP address, a unique Customer ID number, the date and time of use of our Services, and your activity on Customers' websites and on third party websites that display advertisements of Customers' products and services ("Publishers"). We use NPII to provide you Customer product and service recommendations and advertisements either on Customer and Publisher. In the future we may decide to use NPII to provide you such recommendations and advertisements through other forms of digital distribution.
"Personal Information" means individually identifiable information that would allow a party to identify you or to contact you (online or offline). This type of information may include, for example, your name, address, telephone number, or email address. Accordingly, we will not disclose such Personal Information to any third party, unless specifically and rightfully instructed or directed to do so by Customer and will not share, disclose, rent, or sell any such Personal Information except as requested or directed by Customer or as we believe may be required by law or to otherwise protect our legal rights.
Cookies
"Cookies" are small data files that contain a string of characters that are sent to your computer browser from our servers when our Services are accessed. We use cookies in the delivery of recommendations and advertisements on Customers' and Publishers' websites. Cookies allow us to save your preference information to improve the quality of our Services and to allow Customers to offer you a better experience on their websites through more personalized recommendations and advertisements. The information we collect from cookies includes only NPII, is only used in conjunction with your use of Services, and is not shared by us with any third party. NAVEGG CANNOT AND DOES NOT USE COOKIES TO COLLECT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.
Disable Cookies
Most Web browsers are set up to accept cookies. If you prefer not to receive cookies, you can set your browser to provide a warning and/or refuse the cookie. You can also refuse all cookies by turning them off in the browser. At any time you can delete cookies from your browser. If you disable cookies please note that we may be prevented from providing personalized recommendations and advertisements to you.
How We Use This Data
Navegg uses the information collected to target advertising campaigns more effectively. The aim is for you to see ads which you are more likely to be interested in, rather than ads that you aren't. We do this by comparing the information relating to your anonymous profile, against our selection of ad campaigns and choosing the most suitable advertisement. It's important to understand that Navegg can only create these profiles and display ads to you when you visit a website that we have a relationship with.
Most websites you visit will not charge you, but are funded by the ads that you view. The more effective the advertising on a site, the more money it can generate from fewer ads - reducing the clutter and invasiveness of the advertising on their websites. Identifying anonymous profiles allows Navegg to offer an improved online experience for you, increased performance to our advertisers and enhanced revenues for our websites.
We do not sell, rent or share any of the anonymous data to third parties.
Action Attribution
To gain a greater understanding of a site's performance, or a user's general interests, we use a variety of technologies to determine which websites in our network the user visited previously and/or where the user clicked on an advertisement. Using this information, we can calculate which websites and/or which broad interest characteristic of user is likely to best respond to a particular campaign. This takes two forms:
User Interest Profiling
To create a user interest profile, we observe which websites within our network users have interacted, and we determine what topics those websites are about. This information is combined to generate an anonymous interest profile for specific computers.
Depending on the content of the sites users visit, we build an anonymous profile which contains information on potential interests and a statistical estimate of their likely demographic. For example, if a user visits a sports site within our network then we may classify them as broadly interested in that sport. All data that we use is stored anonymously.
Performance Attribution
We monitor the sales, signups or visits to certain predetermined pages on our advertisers' websites. We reconcile these page 'hits' back to the ads that were shown to allow us to manage advertising campaign delivery, and report on this to our advertisers and publishers. We use cookies to limit the number of ads any individual computer is exposed to.
Advertising Opt Out
You may also opt out of our use of your NPII to determine what advertisements to show you on Publishers' websites by clicking on the button below. Opting out will prevent us from providing you personalized advertisements based on your preferences. If you choose to opt-out by clicking on this button you will receive what is referred to as a "persistent cookie" that tells us not to recognize your browser. We must maintain the cookie on your browser in order to recognize you as having opted-out. You must opt-out again if you clear that cookie from your browser, use a different internet browser, or use a new computer to access the internet.
Parte superior do formulário
In our Customer agreements, we use commercially reasonable efforts to require that Customers, as data controllers, add statements or clauses to their privacy policies specifically describing their use of NPII for behavioral advertising. Further, we use commercially reasonable efforts to require that each Customer provide its end user consumers with information regarding the ability to opt-out of such use of the NPII as we have provided herein.
Disclosure of Aggregated Information
We may disclose aggregated information about the use of Services to business partners, prospective investors, and others. Additionally, we may produce industry-standard traffic reports for assessing use of Services. This information cannot be traced back to you personally.
Information Gathered by Our Customers
Navegg does not come in contact with, and specifically disclaims any association with, any Personal Information collected by Customers from their consumer end users. Customers may include usernames in the user identification tags that they pass to us, but we have no control over such tags and use this information only as a database identifier.
Data Security / Retention
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of information we process, including your NPII. We retain your NPII only for so long as it remains relevant to providing you with product recommendations and advertisements or to the extent permitted by law.
After 24 months the server log data is destroyed. Summarized data is kept indefinitely. Summarized data is aggregated statistical data (impressions and clicks) used for financial reporting purposes.

Information about our users, including Personal Information, may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, as well as in the unlikely event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership in which Personal Information would be transferred as one of our business assets.
Changes and Updates
We may change or update this policy. When we do, we will also revise the Effective Date at the end of this policy. If we make changes to this policy that are materially less restrictive on our use or disclosure of Personal Information we have collected, we will attempt to obtain your consent before implementing the change. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
